BHASYAKARLA UTSAVAM OFF TO A GRAND START IN TIRUMALA

Tirumala, 1 May 2016: The hill temple observed Bhashyakarla Utsavam in a celestial manner in Tirumala on Sunday.

In view of the birth anniversary of the great Sri vaishnava saint Sri Ramanujacharya this fete will be observed for ten days every year in Tirumala shrine and also Sri Govindaraja swamy temple at Tirupati.

The Bhashyakarla Sattumora is observed on May 10, on the advent of Arudra star which is the birth star of Sri Ramanujacharya.This year the Bhashyakarla utsavam is observed from May 1-10 and utsavalu by ubhayadarulu up to May 18.
During the first ten days, there will be procession of Bhashyakarla varu both in the morning and in the evening.

On Sunday, HH Tirumala Pedda Jiyar Swamy, Chinna Jiyar Swamy and other temple officials took part in Bhashyakarla Utsavam.
