BIRRD IS ULTIMATE HOSPITAL FOR ORTHO AILMENTS IN ENTIRE ASIA-TTD CHARIMAN

Tirupati, 15 December 2016: The TTD-run Balaji Institute of Surgery for Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled(BIRRD) is the ultimate state-of-art hospital for orthopedic ailments in the entire Asia, asserted TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy.

As the additional block of BIRRD is set for a formal launch by honourable CM of AP on Friday, the TTD board chief inspected the arrangements in hospital premises along with its Director Dr G Jagdeesh on Thursday.

Speaking to media persons on this occasion, the Chairman said, over the instructions of honourable CM of AP to have an advanced premiere hospital to cater the needs of poor people of not only Rayalaseema but entire country. TTD has spent Rs.42.8 cr to bring out this marvel in a record time of a year with all modern facilities and state of art machinery to provide the best possible treatment to poor free of cost and with minimum charges to others. “The chief motto is to reduce the waiting period of operations for the patients and ensure them the best medical treatment in orthopaedics”, he said.

Later Director of the hospital Dr G Jagdeesh said, the gadgets and operation equipment set up in the new building are brought from US, Europe, Korea with the best of the best technology in this new additional OP block which is constructed in a sprawling area of 1.25 lakhs sq feet. “The new OP block has been constructed with a capacity of 1500 patients on a day. To cater the accident emergency needs of pilgrims patients,15 exclusive beds have been allotted while the post operative recovery and ICU includes 20 beds each”, he maintained.

Administrative Officer Dr Venka Reddy, EE Sri Jaganmohan Reddy and others were also present.
