Tirupati, 2 October 2, 16: Brahmotsavam-2016 will be a totally new devotional experience for the devotees as they will witness a totally transformed Tirumala with innovative sign boards, exhibitions, green belts, all facilities brought to the devotees where ever they are except darshan of Lord Venkateswara.

“All they have to do is that they should come to Tirumala and have darshan of Lord Venkateswara in the Srivari Temple, rest of facilities- tonsuring, laddu prasadam, anna prasadam, etc is provided where ever they are in Tirumala – Mada street galleries, Vaikuntam Q complex or on the periphery of the hill shrine ” says the TTD chairman Dr Chadalawada Krishnamurty in an exclusive interview with TTD.News (news page of www.tirumala.org, the official website of the TTD).

Highlighting the arrangements for nine day celestial festival as an devotional and spiritual extravaganza, the TTD Chairman said that the goal is to ensure that 24-36 hours stay of the devotees at Tirumala a rich green ,hassle free, noise and air pollution free, bright ,colorful fragrant devotional experience. “The focus will be on common devotees needs most of which are provided free of cost – tonsuring, darshan,rooms, laddu prasadam and Anna prasadam ‘he said. Even the buses are provided free of cost in Tirupati and Tirumala for benefit of foot walkers to to reach Alipiri or Srivari Mettu walkers path to fulfill their vow.

He said special effort is made by the TTD to prepare a strategy for both security, transportation and also cultural events at Tirumala and Tirupati on all nine days to see that the devotees are provided trouble free darshan, food, travel and also participate in all the events a exhibitions, Nada Niranjanam, Asthana Mandapam and alsoMahati auditorium in Tirupati.

He said under the guidance of AP chief minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu the TTD has up a mission to clean 100 lakes and tanks in Tirupati region so that devotees get a better image of temple town,the base for hill shrine of Tirumala. “We will beautify Tirupati with parks, clean and hygienic toilets and resting areas for devotees who throng in lakhs every day “he said.

On the lines of training god fearing youth among tribal and SC communities in the art of performing rituals in temples and get jobs as priests in temples across the state, the TTD also has embarked on a training program to provide training to youth as Sculptors in the SV Institute of Traditional Sculpture and Architecture.
