BTU WORKS TO BE COMPLETED IN A WEEK’S TIME-TIRUMALA JEO

Tirumala, 22 September,2016: As the Salakatla Brahmotsavams of Srivaru is scheduled from October 3 to 11, the preparation works by various departments for the mega relgious fete will be completed in another week’s time said, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.

Speaking to media persons after inspection of parking areas near GNC, Balaji Nagar etc. in Tirumala on Thursday the JEO said, all the departments are completing the arrangements for the brahmotsavams on war-footing. “The engineering works will be completed by September 25 and the rest in a week”, he added.

He said, the permanent toilets have been set up this year at five places in the galleries for the benefit of the pilgrims. “Our action plan had delivered fruitful results when we set up the toilets on trial basis during last brahmotsavams. So we have set up the permanent ones this year”, he added.

The JEO said, “The available empty space in Tirumala will be utilised in the best possible manner for parking of vehicles for the ensuing annual brahmotsavams including the space between RB Centre and Museum, near GNC toll gate, near new building site of Srivari Seva Sadan near Kalyana Vedika, empty place available in Balaji Nagar etc.

Adding further, “Keeping in view the increasing vehicular movement, this year we are contemplating a concrete plan for vehicle parking especially on Garuda Seva Day. In another couple of days, we will inspect the earmarked places with the police for parking. The display boards showing the parking routes, will be erected for the benefit of the pilgrims. Our aim is to see that, after Garuda Vahana Seva, there should not be any traffic congestion and the pilgrim devotees should reach their respective destinations without any inconvenience”, JEO said.
