CELESTIAL KALYANAM MUSES DENIZENS

Chennai, 11 September 2016: The celestial wedding of Lord Malayappa Swamy enthralled the denizens of the Sri Perumbur, near Chennai in Tamil Nadu on Sunday evening.

With an aim to propagate the Hindu Sanatana Dharma and the Sri Venkateswara Bhakti cult across the globe, the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has been organising Srinivasa Kalyanams-celestial marriage of Lord with His Consorts, at various places in India and abroad from the past 10 years with the replica idols of Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sri Devi and Bhu Devi. (The processional deity of Lord Venakteswara is popularly known as Lord Malayappa Swamy).

SEQUENCE OF CELESTIAL WEDDING: The divine marriage began with Punyaha Vachanam followed by Visvaksena Aradhana, Ankurarpana, Pratisara Bandhana, Agnipratishta, Vastra Samarpana, Maha Sankalpam, Kanyadanam, Mangalya Dharana, Varanamayiram and concluded with Arti.

TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamuthy, Kshetra Posana Trust Managing Trustee Prema Pandu Rang, LAC Members and devotees took part.
