CELESTIAL KALYANAM MUSES DENIZENS

Hyderabad, 11 February 2016: The massive NTR Stadium in Hyderabad witnessed a sea of humanity on the evening of Thursday for the “Divine Wedding” of as a part of Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams.

Following the huge response to the various rituals that are being performed to the replica statue of Lord Venkateswara here, TTD performed the celestial wedding of Srinivasa Kalyanam.

SEQUENCE OF CELESTIAL WEDDING: The divine marriage began with Punyaha Vachanam followed by Visvaksena Aradhana, Ankurarpana, Pratisara Bandhana, Agnipratishta, Vastra Samarpana, Maha Sankalpam, Kanyadanam, Mangalya Dharana, Varanamayiram and concluded with Arti.

The denizens of Hyderabad were thrilled to see the divine beauty of the deities in this most important ritual and the entire premises echoed with Govinda Namas.

JAMPACKED: The entire stadium was jam-packed as tens of thousands of devotees thronged to witness the celestial marriage of Lord.

The Honourable Chief Minister of AP Sri N Chandra Babu Naidu while complimenting TTD for organising Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams, advocated that this celestial fete will be performed in more places for every two months to propagate Sri Venkateswara Bhakti cult in a big way.

He was addressing the huge gathering of devotees at NTR stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday evening who converged to witness the celestial wedding of the deities in Srinivasa Kalyanam.

The CM of AP along with Honourable Governor Sri ESL Narasimhan and Union Minister Sri M Venkaiah Naidu poured accolades on TTD and on organisers including Sri Prabhakar Reddy, Sri Subba Reddy and Sri Harshavardhan who came forward with largesse to conduct the week-long celestial fete in a massive manner.

Earlier the Srinivasa Kalyanam fete was performed with celestial grandeur by the temple priests as per the norms of Vaikhanasa Agama. The processional deities of Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy flanked by His two beloved consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, draped in colourful silk Vastrams and dazzling jewels mused the devotees on Thursday evening.

SVV TO CONCLUDE WITH ABHISHEKAM AND PUSHPAYAGAM ON FEB 12

After a week-long ritual spree, the fifth phase of Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams is all set to conclude on a grand note with twin important events of Abhishekam and Pushpayagam on February 12.
The Abhisheka Seva which is the most important weekly seva usually observed on Fridays will be performed from 8am to 10am which is followed by the Pushpayaga Mahotsavam.
