TENS OF THOUSANDS WITNESS THE DIVINE WEDDING CEREMONY

NELLORE, AUGUST 15: The spacious AC Subba Reddy Auditorium witnessed a sea of humanity on Saturday evening as a part of the eighth day of ongoing Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams for the ceremonious celestial marriage of the divinities which mesmerised the spectators.

Usually, the marriage to the utsava murthies of Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sridevi and Bhudevi is performed seeking their blessings for successfully completing any virtuous activity.
Meanwhile, the divine marriage began with the Archakas performing Punyaha Vachanam followed by Visvaksena Aradhana, Ankurarpana, Pratisara Bandhana, Agnipratishta, Vastra Samarpana, Maha Sankalpam, Kanyadanam, Mangalya Dharana, Varanamayiram and concluded with rendition of Aarti.

The denizens of Nellore were thrilled to see the divine beauty of the deities in this most important ritual and the entire premises echoed with Govinda Namas.

It being I-Day holiday tens of thousands of denizens thronged to the venue to witness the celestial marriage of Lord. The premises reverberated with the rhythmic sounds of Veda mantras and spiritual fervour filled the entire environs on the pleasant evening.

TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao, Joint Executive Officer Sri Pola Bhaskar also took part in the religious fete.
