Central Dharmic Council Meeting at Tirumala

Tirumala 26 June 2010: The Central Dharmic council meeting was held at Annamaiah Bhavan, Tirumala on Saturday morning. Sri I.Y.R.Krishna Rao, Executive Officer TTD has presided the meeting and discussed the following points.

• Akhanda Veda Parayanam, a new scheme will be started soon. In this scheme Rigveda, Yazurveda, Samaveda, and Atharva Vedas will be chanted continuously. Ie. 24 hours with reputed Veda Pundits.
• To safeguard the “Dasari traditions in the country, a Dasari Maha Summit will be conducted either a Tirupati or Tirumala in the first week of August.
• The Loka Kalyana Rathams which were already conducted in East Godavari, Adilabad and Ananthapur evoked a good response from the public. Similarly, the council has decided to conduct the Loka Kalyana Ratham programme in Adilabad District in July last week.

Central Dharmic Council Members Sri Potturi Venkateswara Rao, Sri Konajeti Subba Rao, Sri Daivagna Sharma, Sri O.V.Ramana and others took part in the meeting.
