CEREMONIOUS START TO “SRI RAMANUJA SANCHARA RADHA YATRA” IN TIRUMALA

GOVERNOR TAKES PART IN THE SPECIAL PUJA OF RADHA YATRA

Tirumala, 10 May 2016: The most prestigious event of Sri Ramanuja Sanchara Radha Yatra off to a ceremonious start in Tirumala on Tuesday and the honourable Governor of AP and TS Sri ESL Narasimhan took part in the special puja that was performed at Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple.

TTD has mulled the programme with the specially designed Sanchara Radham and Kalyana Radhams covering all the 106 Sri Vaishnava Divya Desams across the country on the occasion of the millennium birth anniversary celebrations of the great Sri Vaishnava Saint Sri Ramanujacharyulu which will last long for a year.

Speaking on this auspicious occasion the Governor said, it was a great privilege for him to take part in this momentous programme and complimented TTD in a big way for contemplating the Ramanuja Sancharam.

Later TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy and EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao presented him with the idol of Lord Venkateswara on the occasion.

Earlier, the Governor was accorded warm welcome on his entrance at Mahadwaram with temple honours by the TTD administrative and board heads. After offering prayers he was rendered vedasirvachanam in Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later Teertha, Prasadams and portrait of Lord Venakteswara were presented to him by TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy and EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Tirumala Pedda Jiyar Swamiji, Chinna Jiyar Swamiji, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, Temple DyEO Sri Kodandarama Rao, Peishkar Sri R Selvam were also present.
