CHANDI YAGAM CONCLUDES IN TIRUMALA
Tirupati, 22 July 2014: The five-day Chandi Yagam performed by TTD at Dharmagiri Veda Pathashala in Tirumala concluded with Purnahuti on Tuesday.
This vedic ritual commenced on July 18 seeking the blessings of Goddess Chandi whois believed to be the deity of primordial energy to save the world from bad forces and obstacles and bless the people with lasting prosperity and health.
During these days, the vedic scholars recited Durga Sapthasathi for 100 times and Mula Mantra for 1lakh times. On the final day, that is on Tuesday the Chandi Yagam concluded with Purnahuti. Before that Suhasini Puja, Kanya Puja and Dampathi Puja were also performed.
Meanwhile this five-day “Chandi Yagam” commenced on the auspicious Sapthami Friday and concluded on Ekadasi Tuesday and both these days happens to be very special to appease the “Universal Goddess” Durga.
Vedapathashala Principal Sri KSS Avadhani, vedic pundits, students were also present.
