CHATRASTHAPANOTSAVAM PERFORMED IN TIRUMALA

TIRUMALA, 28 Jul. 15: The annual religious fete of Chatrasthapanotsavam was observed with religious Tirumala on Tuesday.

It is believed that Narayanagiri is one among the seven peaks and the highest one where Lord Venkateswara first stepped onto this sacred hills and the devotees can see the set of divine padalu located here.

To mark this ceremonious occasion, TTD observes Chatrasthapanotsavam in Narayanagiri peak every year.

Another belief is also is in vogue. This is the season where the wind blows heavily and Narayanagiri located at the highest point the blow of wing is heavier. To appease wind God, new set of Chatrams-umbrellas will offered to Vayudeva from this highest peak point.
