CHENNAI UMBRELLAS PRESENTED TO SRIVARI TEMPLE

Tirumala, 6 October 2016: The colorful and bright umbrellas donated by the Hindu Dharmarta Samiti, Chennai meant for decorating the utsava idol of Lord Malayappaswamy on the Garuda Seva day have finally landed in Tirumala.

The umbrellas brought by the Trust head Sri RR Gopalji and were given a warm reception by the TTD officials. Of the eleven umbrellas brought by the samiti, two of them were presented to the Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple and remaining nine were brought to Tirumala for presentation to Srivari temple.

The umbrellas will be taken out in a procession on the mada streets and later taken inside the Srivari Temple for use in the Garuda Seva vahana procession tomorrow.

TTD Trust Board Members Sri Krishnamurthy, Sri DP Anantha, Temple DyEO Sri Rama Rao and others took part.
