CHIEF JUSTICE OF INDIA OFFERS PRAYERS AT TIRUMALA TEMPLE
TIRUMALA, 2 October 2014: Honb’le Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India Justice Handyala Lakshminarayanaswamy Dattu accompanied by wife offered prayers in the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara on Thursday morning along with his family members.
On his arrival at Sri Vari Temple, the priests and officials have welcomed the Honourable CJ with Temple honors (ISTHIKAPAL) and led to the sanctum sanctorium. One of the chief priests of the Tirumala temple Dr AV Ramana Dikshitulu explained the Honourable justice and his entourage about the significance of Lord and various ornaments being adorned to the presiding deity.
Later he offered prayers to the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara, Vakula mata, Ananda Nilayam Vimana Venkateswara, Bhashyakarla Sannidhi and Yoga Narasimha Swamy in the Sanctum Sanctorum. After offering prayers the Vedic Pundits rendered Vedasirvachanam to the delegates at Ranganayakula Mandapam. TTD EO Sri MG Gopal and JEO Sri K.S.Sreenivasa Raju offered Prasadams, lamination photo and religious books to the honourable chief justice of Supreme Court.
