“CONDUCT TRIAL-RUN OF VAHANAMS BEFORE BRAHMTOSAVAMS”-TIRUPATI JEO

Tiruchanur, 31 October 2014: Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar directed the HODs of all the departments especially, the engineering, temple and vigilance wings to conduct a trial-run of the vehicles(vahanams), queue lines and barricading, for the smooth conduct of annual brahmotsavams at Tiruchanoor which is set to commence from November 19.

The JEO who inspected the on-going arrangements at Tiruchanoor on Friday evening, instructed the officials that there should be no compromise on arrangements at any level. “The lines should be well maintained and organised to see that no untoward incident takes place especially during the Gaja Vahanam day and final day on Panchamiteertham. For this you conduct a trial-run of some vahanams, queue lines and barricading in Padma Sarovaram prior to brahmtosavams”, he added.

He said, security should be beefed in and around pushkarini on the last day of the nine-day religious fete. “We will also utilise the services of Srivari Sevakulu”, he maintained.

He also inspected the vehicle parking area and newly erected gates at Padma Pushkarini. He instructed the health department officials to be ready with mobile toilets in view of the anticipated heavy pilgrim crowd for the fete.

Special Grade Deputy EO Smt Chenchu Lakshmi, IIn-charge CVSO Sri G Srinivasulu, Tirupati Urban SP Sri Gopinath Jetti, SE III Sri Ramachandra Reddy, AEO Smt Nagarathna and others were also present.
