COSTLY DHARMAVARAM PANCHE DONATED TO LORD

Tirupati, 18 Feb. 17: Kadapa based devotees Sri Ramanujulu Reddy and Smt Venkata Sujata have donated Rs.16lakhs worth Dharmavaram silk Panche and uttariyam to Lord Venkateswara on Saturday.

The donors and handed over the same to TTD chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy in his chambers in Madhavam Rest House at Tirupati. They said about one kilo gold and silver has been utilised behind the preparation of the silk vastrams. It has been prepared by Raghavendra Group weavers who carried mobile weaving machine covering all 13 districts of AP.

The vastram entered into the international wonder book of world records for having involved 60thousand devotees in weaving the vastram while touring all the districts including AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu.
