DECISIONS BY TTD BOARD
RE-INTRODUCTION OF SSD TOKENS
SHIFTING OF ACCOMMODATION ALLOTMENT TO TIRUPATI
CHANGE IN VIP BREAK DARSHAN TIMINGS FOR THE SAKE OF COMMON PILGRIMS
ALL THE NEW INITIATIVES ON TRIAL- RUN AFTER PURATASI MONTH
TIRUMALA, 24 SEPTEMBER 2022: The TTD Trust Board led by its Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy on Saturday has resolved to take some decisions keeping in view the increased pilgrim influx to Tirumala post-Covid and also the limitations in the accommodation in the Hill town for the sake of multitude of common pilgrims who are visiting Tirumala.
After the Trust Board meeting, briefing the media persons, TTD Chairman said, however, all these Pilgrim-friendly decisions will be implemented after the Puratasi month in a phased manner on Trial-basis. Some excerpts from the meeting:
Board has taken a decision to change the timings in VIP darshan to 10am instead of the existing early hours, to enable Srivari darshan to common pilgrims who will be waiting for hours together in compartments and queue lines.
As the available accommodation in Tirumala will suffice the needs of only a limited number of pilgrims, to avoid the accommodation woes of pilgrims the board has decided to shift the accommodation allotment system to Tirupati. “If the accommodation allotment gets exhausted in Tirumala, we request the pilgrims to book accommodation in Tirupati instead of waiting for long hours in Tirumala”, he added.
With respect to Slotted Sarva Darshanam(SSD) tokens, the Chairman said, issuance of SSD tokens will be re-introduced with a limited number after Puratasi month, while the Sarva Darshan (without tokens) will be operated simultaneously.
