DELHITIES ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF DAWN TO DUSK RITUALS OF LORD ON DAY TWO OF SVV

New Delhi, 1 November 2015: The Fourth Phase of Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams which commenced here on Saturday on a grand religious note, on day one received overwhelming response from denizens of New Delhi.

Every inch of the spacious Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium located at Bhishmapitamaha Marg in New Delhi was occupied by the devotees, irrespective of ages, who thronged to witness all the rituals that are being performed to the replica Lord as in Tirumala temple. They were spell bound by the charm of Lord and did not even blink their eyes for a moment since they might miss that divine glimpse even for the wink of eye.

The Archakas of Tirumala who were deputed to offer rituals in New Delhi, performed all the daily pre-dawn to dusk sevas with utmost devotion.

The stadium was jam packed from 5am itself, as the devotees marched to the stadium to witness the first and foremost pre-dawn awakening ritual of Lord, Suprabhatam.

SUPRABHATAM: The archakas rendered Stotram, Prapatti, Mangalasasanam which are also a part of Suprabhatam with grace and perfection. Suprabhatam comprises of 70 slokas, composed by Prativadi Bhayankara Annan, a disciple of the celebrated Vaishnava Preceptor, Manavala Mamuni.

The replica idol of Sri Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy which was laid to rest was taken back to the Garbhalaya and placed in front of the deity after Suprabhata Seva.

THOMALA: This was followed by yet another important seva, Thomala. It is nothing but decorating Lord with flower garlands amidst chanting of vedic mantras by temple priests.

KOLUVU: After decorating the Lord, Koluvu followed and the importance of the day including Nakshatra, Tithi etc. as per Hindu almanac was read out in front of Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy who was made to sit in a special asan.

ARCHANA: Later followed Sahasranamarchana where in the archakas rendered prayers by chanting His 1000 names signifying His glory to the main deity.

NIVEDANA, SATTUMORA: After completing the pre-dawn rituals, the main Lord, utsavarulu was offered Naivedyam in the form of Annaprasadam which is called Nivedana. This Nivedana will be rendered thrice a day during morning, afternoon and evening after first bell, second and third respectively.

This follows Sattumora, where the Srivaishnavacharyas render Divya Prabandha Parayanam before main deity.

SARVA DARSHANAM: The devotees were allowed for Sarva Darshan after the completion of all morning rituals and it continued till evening.

SAHASRA DEEPALANKARA SEVA: In the evening, the processional deity of Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy flanked by His two consorts was made to sit on a swing and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva was performed in the light of over 1000 ghee lamps behind.

The denizens were caught by the magical charm of the deities during this seva.

EKANTA SEVA: The heavy schedule of the day concluded with Ekanta Seva in the night, where the idol of Sri Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy was laid to rest on a bed with the rendition of Annamaiah Jola Pata rendered by the successors of Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya and later Tarigonda Harati was offered to deity marking the closure of the daily rituals.

TTD Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, TTD Board Member Sri Bhanu Prakash Reddy, VGO Sri Raveendra Reddy, and others were also present.
