“DHARMIC ACTIVITIES SOON TO BEGIN AT DELHI KALAYANAMANDAPAM”-TTD EO

TIRUMALA, MAY 2:  The spiritual and dharmic activities will soon commence in the TTD Kalyanamandapam at New Delhi Sri Venkateswara temple once the works are completed, said,TTD EO Sri MG Gopal.

The monthly Dial your EO programme held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala where in pilgrim callers from various parts of the country conversed with EO over phone and conveyed their suggestions and complaints.

Reacting to a pilgrim caller from New Delhi Sri Chandra Sekhar, the EO said, still some minor works are going on in the Kalyanamandapma in the temple at New Delhi which will complete very soon and the spiritual programmes inlcuding traditional dance, music, bhajans, discourses etc.

Answering another caller Sri Narayana Reddy from Rajamundry who said that he has done a lot of research work on Homas, Yagas, Graha Shantis and hence he is ready to offer his services, EO asked him to take part in the Veda Sibiram classes which are underway in SV Oriental College in Tirupati and also asked him to meet the Vice-Chancellor of SV Vedic University in this regard.

Replying a pilgrim caller Sai Krishna from East Godavari, TTD EO said, the potu-temple kitchen at Tiruchanoor temple has been renovated recently and the pilgrims will soon get Ammavari laddu prasadams.

Earlier EO briefed on various programmes undertaken by TTD in the month of May which includes Subhapradam-summer training classes from May 19-25, the religious events including Padmavathi Parinayotsavams from 8-10 of May, Annamacharya Jayanthi from 14-16, Vengamamba Jayanthi on 12 and 13 of May and many more.

EO said, TTD has made elaborate arrangements to cope up the summer vacation pilgrim rush and also taken summer relief measures by coating the streets with white coolant paint, arranging kuskus mats in queue lines etc. He said though there is water shortage inTirumala, TTD is making arrangements to see that the pilgrims are not put to any sort of inconvenience. However he appealed to the pilgrims not to waste water unnecessarily since every drop of water is precious. He said, seeking good rains this year, TTD has conducted five day Kareeristhi-varuna-Parjanya Shanti Yagas recently in Tirumala to appease Rain God and is hopeful of good results.

JEO Sri P Bhaskar, CVSO Sri G Srinivas, CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy and other senior officers were also present.
