DHWAJAROHANAM MARKS BEGINNING OF KT BTU

Tirupati, 29 February 2016: The annual brahmotsavams of Lord Sri Kapileswara Swamy off to a colourful start with Dhwajarohanam on Monday, which incidentally happens to be the most auspicious day for Saivaite temples.

In the presence of Panchamurthys, Sri Somaskandamurthy, Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru, Sri Vinayakaswamy, Sri Chandikeswara Swamy, Sri Valli Devasena Sametha Sri Subrahmanya Swamy the Dhwajarohanam episode took place with religious ecstasy amid chanting of Siva Nama Smarana, Shankhanadam etc. in Kumbha Lagna at 7:02am.

DEVELOPMENT WORKS WITH Rs.3CR:

Speaking on this celestial occasion with media, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao said, developmental works will be taken up in this ancient temple of Lord Shiva with Rs.3crores. He said in the wake of ensuing auspicious day of Maha Sivarathri on March 7, elaborate arrangements are being made.

KAILASAGIRI SETTING STANDS AS CENTRE OF ATTRACTION

Meanwhile the Kailasagiri setting set up by the Garden Wing of TTD under the supervision of Deputy Director of Garden department Sri Srinivasulu stood as centre of attraction during the brahmotsavams.

The images of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi with Sri Ganesha and Sri Shanmukha and their respective favourite vehicles including Nandi, Simha, Mouse and Peacock seated on the silver linen mount of Kailasagiri mesmerised visiting pilgrims.
