“HI-FI SECURITY GADGETS FOR BETTER PILGRIM SERVICE”-TTD EO

Tirumala, 12 February 2016: To provide improvised, speedy and enhanced services to multitude of visiting pilgrims with the help of advanced security communication gadgets, TTD has set up Digital Repeater Station in Tirumala, said TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy and TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

The Trust Board and Administrative heads of TTD have jointly opened up the new communication station at Srivari Padalu in Tirumala on Friday evening. Speaking on this occasion, they said, the intention of TTD is to speed up its communication network from pilgrim point of view. “This new set up is sure to give enhanced services to pilgrims with fast communication network”, the Board chief asserted.

Meanwhile TTD EO said, the temple management is contemplating to strengthen its vigilance wing and hence recently approved to purchase modern security gadgets for this Digital Repeater Station at a cost of Rs.40 lakhs. “The board has also sanctioned Rs.5crores towards the construction of Octopus Bhavan in Tirumala”, he observed.

Later, TTD Chief Vigilance and Security Officer Sri D Nagendra Kumar explained about the functioning of this new gadget. He said the unique feature of this modern security gadget is that in one frequency (Channel) two slots can be opened and four persons can exchange communication at a time and ID of the set also displayed in all the digital sets where as it is not in analog set. “In the first phase 150 digitals handheld sets are being provided and will be further enhanced in future as per our requirement”, he added.

VGOs Sri Ravinder Reddy, Smt Vimala Kumari, Temple DyEO Sri C Ramana, KKC DyEO Smt Baby Sarojini, Health Officer Dr Sermista, PRO Dr T Ravi, all AVSOs and others were also present.
