DPMs SHOULD BE STRENGTHENED FROM VILLAGE LEVEL-TIRUPATI JEO

Tirupati, 14 February 2015: The Dharma Prachara Mandalis (DPMs) need to be strengthened from village level in order to give wide publicity to Hindu dharmic and spiritual programmes, said Tirupati Jeo Sri p Bhaskar.

Addressing the DPMs from six districts including chittoor, anantapur, kurnool, cuddpah, Ongole and Nellore at SVETA Bhavan in Tirupati on Saturday, the Jeo said, to take up the dharmic programmes of ttd in every nook and corner, there is an urgent need to strengthen DPMs from village level. DPMs at Mandal and district level will beef up automatically.

Earlier ttd pro Sri T Ravi has delivered a speech on the important role by media in the propagation of dharmic programmes. He said, sage Narada is considered to be the first PRO and in the latter years Saint Annamacharya, Purandharadasa and others took dharma Prachara with Bhajana. Today ttd has been following their foot steps and taking up innovative dharmic programmes. In villages traditional media like burrakatha, yakshagana, Bhajana have been used for the propagation of ttd programmes apart from print and electronic media. We are now focussing on social media like Twitter, Facebook, etc. to propagate our programmes across the globe, he maintained.
