DRUM BEATERS OF SHOLAPUR ENTHRALL THE DEVOTEES AT TIRUMALA
Tirumala, 5 October 2016: The drum beaters of Sholapaur enthralled the devotees during the Simha vahanam procession at the four mada streets this morning with their rhythmic beating and dancing to the beat.
The 100 drum beaters of Param Veer Yoga mandal from Maharashtra led by Sri Ketkar Maharaj who were invited by the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad presented a spectacular display of their dancing steps and drum beating skills.
Split into three teams the drum beaters will present their skills both during morning and evening vahana seva with tools like drums,legible and Tasha instruments.
The drum beating team comprised of 30- girl students from various colleges of Sholapur and others were occupational beaters .The team had presented their skills at various temple festivals in Maharashtra- Sri Siddeswarlaya and Sri Pandaripur temple.
