EIGHTH PHASE MANAGUDI FROM NOV 11-14-TTD EO

Tirupati, 26 Oct. 16: The TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao has called upon all the representatives of Dharma Prachara Mandalis(DPMs), Srivari Sevakulu and Bhajana Mandalis to gear up for the eighth phase of Managudi programme.

FROM KAISIKA DWADASI TO KARTHEEKA POURNAMI:

A review meeting with DPMs of AP and Telengana states held in SVETA building in Tirupati on Wednesday evening. Addressing the meeting, the EO said, this year TTD would be observing the Mass Temple Programme fete starting from the auspicious Kaisika Dwadasi Day on November 11 and concluding on the sacred Kartheeka Pournami Day onNovember 14. “The motto of this mass programme is to involve the public of the respective places, srivari sevakulu, DPMs and bhajan troupes. This fete is not restricted to these four or five days but should be observed all through the year with the voluntary participation of the individuals”, he asserted.

FOCUSSED DEVELOPMENT:

Adding further the EO said, earlier TTD used to conduct this mass temple programme across 60 thousand countries in Telugu speaking states. “This year we are contemplating to organise this programme in 10 temples of each mandal in each district so that the development should be in a focussed manner on each temple. Also involve like minded organisations, mutts of respective areas in this sacred programme”, he maintained.

CONDUCT OF KALYANAMS IN AGENCY AREAS:

The EO also hinted at conducting 50% of Srinivasa Kalyanams in Agency areas at the expenditure of TTD, but the DPMs should take the responsibility of publicity activity and mobilise the locals. He said TTD is already imparting training to the archakas in SC, ST, fishermen colonies. Apart from them, TTD would also consider the suggestion of giving training to OCs also who are in poor financial condition.

STONE AND PANCHALOHA IDOLS ON TIME:

The EO also said, TTD is now dispatching the stone and panchaloha idols to the requests within the stipulated time without delay after receiving the MRO certification from the respective temple representatives. He said TTD has also released a revolving fund of Rs.5crores to Endowments and Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Trust to identify and construct 500 temples in both the Telugu states.

SUCCESS STORIES OF MANAGUDI IN SAPTHAGIRI:

TTD All Projects Special Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao who presided over the meeting said, the success stories of Managudi would be henceforth published in TTD Sapthagiri magazine to encourage more and more devotees to take part in this fete.

Earlier the representatives of DPMs hailing from various districts thanked TTD for its support in Hindu Dharma Prachara and also made a few suggestions to improve the programme in future.
