“EMPLOYEES AND SRIVARI SEVAKULU ARE LIKE TWO SIDES OF A COIN”-TTD SERVICES DEPUTY EXECUTIVE OFFICER

TIRUMALA, JULY 18:  “In the administrative set up of TTD and in the management of pilgrim devotees, the employees of TTD and Srivari Seva volunteers are like two sides of a coin”, said Sri Siva Reddy, Deputy Executive Officer of Services Wing in TTD.

Addressing over 2000 Srivari Sevakulu at Asthana Mandapam in Tirumala on Friday, the Chief of Services Wing elaborated on the concept of “Seva”. Exemplifying the saints and acharya purushas including Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Sri Ramana Maharshi and many who sanctified their lives in rendering selfless services to the needy and poor, the officer said, Srivari Seva originated taking them as spirit.

“We are paid servants where as you offer free services to the fellow pilgrims little worried about the hardships you come across during your week-long service in the holy place of Tirumala. You always stand as an inspiration for us to render our duties and responsibilities with more commitment and devotion”, he added.

Elaborating on the seva further, the Services Dy EO said, Seva enhances the qualities of brotherhood, patience, love, affection and Bhakti. The heart of the devotee and union through complete sublimation into the object of devotion is possible through service only. One can easily overcome his or her ego when focused continually on serving others. So the Srivari Seva not only helps others but one self also”, he maintained.
