Tirupati,13 Feb. 17: The environment in Tirupati should be given a face lift devotional quotient among the countless devotees that visit the pilgrim town every day.
TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao today directed the officials to put up with hoardings and sinages of saints and wise proverbs of pontiffs to enhance the spiritual flavor among the visiting hordes of devotees from all over the country. Officials should put up display billboards and hoardings at all major junctions with proherbs and wise sayings which would enthrall the devotees.
Addressing a review meeting at the TTD admin bldgs the TTD EO instructed the officials of the IT wing that the Sapthagiri magazine and other devotional literature of the HDPP should be made easily downloadable in the PDF format in the TTD website.
He also advised the officials that devotees should be facilitated with stickers of Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavathi at all the APT centres where online booking for the Rs.300 pratyeka darshan is done. He also wanted the officials to set up a committee to explore prospects of providing cheaper mobile networks for use of the TTD staff.
He said when Srivari Kalyanotsavam is performed in other non telugu states, the discourses bhajans and other boardcasts should be done in the language of the region or state.
The EO also instructed the DFO Sri Shivaram Prasad to geo-tag every Red sanders tree and also to hand over the responsibiity of protection of red sanders plantation in the TTD forest area to a special task force created for the purpose.
The EO also directed officials to beautify the Sri Kapilatheertha temple, clean up the caves regularly, purify the water in the Kapilatheertha pushkarini besides strengthening the pipelines and also the electric wires. He also wanted an inspection of the steel Laddu trays bought from the Salem Steels directly.
Dr Rao also instructed that special chairs be placed at the Sri GT for the benefit of devotees who came to listen to the discourses. He also advised the officials to prepare an action plan for modernisation of the Annamacharya Kala Mandir.
He also wanted that a guest house should be constructed at the Sri Kodandaramalaya at Ontimetta in Kadapa district.
