EO COMPLIMENTS TTD ENGINEERING AND VIGILANCE WING FOR GHAT ROAD MEASURES

TWO WHEELERS TO PLY ON SECOND GHAT IN NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS IF WEATHER FAVOURS

Tirumala, 24 Nov. 15: TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao along with Tirumala Jeo Sri KS Reenivasa Raju, complimented TTD Vigilance and Engineering wings for taking up all precautionary measures while operating the vehicular traffic on Ghat roads without a mark of incident during the last couple of weeks in spite of inclement weather conditions.

Reviewing with the senior officers of TTD at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday, the EO laid prime focus on second Ghat road road development works. He instructed the Engineering officials to see that the two-wheelers can be allowed through second ghat road without diverting them through link road in the next couple of days, if favourable weather continues. “As the rain was stopped and If the same favourable climatic conditions prevails, complete the repair works and see that the two-wheelers operate on second ghat by this Thursday evening”, he reiterated.

He also instructed the engineering officials to complete the patch works of damaged Ghat roads, leakages in buildings etc. within a week, as there may be influx of pilgrims from next week onwards. “As the next three months are going to be winter season, the electrical wing should make sure that all geysers work properly in all the rest houses”, he added.

Later the EO instructed the Forest and Garden wings to plant Bougainvillea plants on both sides through out the foot path routes, both at Alipiri and Srivari Mettu to give an aesthetic feel to the devotees trekking the footpaths. He also instructed the transport wing to increase the frequency of free buses in Tirumala during Saturdays and Sundays in view of week end pilgrim rush. The Eo later instructed the Annaprasadam wing to enhance the services in fourth hall buffet system.

While complimenting the services of Srivari Sevakulu in Laddu counters the EO directed the concerned to extend their services from the existing eight counters to twelve counters from January onwards.

CVSO Sri D Nagendra Kumar, CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, Addition CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy and other senior officers were also present.
