EO INSPECTS VAIKUNTHA EKADASI ARRANGEMENTS
Tirumala, 28 Dec. 14: TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao has inspected thoroughly the vaikuntha Ekadasi arrangements in Tirumala on Sunday night in spite of inclement weather conditions along with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.
After discussing about the ongoing arrangements with all the senior officials of various departments of TTD in Padmavathi Rest House area in Tirumala, the EO inspected the queue line arrangements in ATC foot path area, temporary shelters at Vikas Rest House and near CRO which lasted for about couple of hours.
Speaking on this occasion, the EO said, TTD is making elaborate arrangements to see that the common pilgrim is not put to any sort of inconvenience. “We have earmarked 5500 rooms to accommodate over 40thousand pilgrims and also constructed temporary shelters which could accommodate over 12thousand pilgrims. Continuous food and water supply will be arranged for those who will be staying in shelters. Due to the prevailing unfavourable conditions we have also decided to make enough light arrangements in the shelters. There will be round the clock supervision by the heads and senior officers of the concerned departments to see that no pilgrim is put to inconvenience”, he maintained.
Additional CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, SEII Sri Ramesh Reddy, Temple Deputy EO Sri C Ramana, Health officer Dr Venkatramana, SE Electricals Sri Venkateswarulu and other senior officers were also present.
