EO OFFERS SILK VASATRAMS TO SIMHADRI APPANNA

Simhachalam,29 April 2017; On the occasion of Chandanotsavam in the famous temple of Sri Varaha Narasimha Swamy in Simhachalam, the TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju has offered silk vastrams on behalf of TTD onSaturday.

The Chandanotsavam is a famous annual event which is observed on the auspicious Akshaya Tritiya day. For the whole year the presiding deity will be covered with sandal paste layer and on this holy day alone the sandal paste is removed and the devotees throng to witness the Nijarupa Darshanam of Lord which lasts for 12 hours before the Lord is reapplied with sandal paste.
