EO RELEASES TARIGONDA VENGAMAMBA JAYANTHI POSTERS

Tirupati, 18 May 2016: TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao on Wednesday released the posters of 286th Birth Anniversary of Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Jayanthi in his chambers in TTD Administrative building Tirupati.

Speaking on this occasion the EO said the saint poetess dedicated her entire life in the divine service by penning scores of sankeertans. TTD will observe the celestial jayanthi in Tiruapti, Tirumala and Tarigonda as a tribute to the great saint poetess.

The temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will organise the 286th Birth Anniversary of Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba on May 20 in a big way in hill town.

As a part of the fete, there will be pushpanjali in Vengamamba Brindavanam at Tirumala on May 20 by 4:30pm while the fete will be followed by Unjal Seva of the deities where in the utsavarulu will be brought to the Narayanagiri Gardens and the celestial swing festival is observed. The Annamacharya Project artistes will render sankeertans penned by saint poetess Tarigonda Vengamamba in praise of Lord Venkateswara and Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy.

Hyderabad based Jagadguru Mutt pontiff Sri Sampurnanandagiri Swami will render his religious discourse on this occasion.
