EO REVIEWS ON ARRANGEMENTS FOR JAN 1 AND VAIKUNTHA EKADASI IN LOCAL TEMPLES

TIRUPATI, DEC 29: TTD Executive Officer, Dr D Sambasiva Rao on Monday reviewed with HODs of all local temples over the January 1 and Vaikuntha Ekadasi arrangements.

The review meeting took place at his chambers in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Monday. Reviewing with the deputy EOs of various local temples, the EO said, there should not be any compromise on arrangements to provide hassle free darshan to pilgrims, as most of the pilgrims who could not able to make it to Tirumala will throng to local temples especially to Srinivasa Mangapuram, Appalyagunta, Sri Kodandaramalayam, Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple and Tiruchanoor.

He has instructed the heads of various departments including publicity, health, vigilance, temple, engineering etc. to make elaborate arrangements for the devotees.

“It may be a single day event, but is a challenging task since tens of thousands of devotees throng on the same day. Besides, this year it is coinciding with New Year Day also. So there will be a huge increase in the pilgrim numbers due to the twin auspicious occasions falling on the same day”, he maintained.

Chief Engineer Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, DyEOs Sri Chandrasekhar Pillai, Sri Sridhar, Sri Harindrath, Sri Balaji were also present.
