EO TTD REVIEW WITH RTC OFFICIALS TO RUN ADDITIONAL BUSES DURING SUMMER

Tirupati, 21 Mar. 16: TTD Executive Officer Sri D Sambasiva Rao said today that RTC has been asked to run additional buses from April 15 to June 15 to meet the challenge of summer crowd of devotees.

Reviewing the issue with senior RTC Officials at the TTD Adm bldgs, the Executive Officer urged that two more free busess should be operated in Tirumala and Tirupati on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for devotees benefit in addition to additional buses and wanted that RTC should provide service to devotees on a 24×7 basis during the summer months.

He said besides special arrangements for repairs to buses on ghat roads like cranes etc and increase number of buses as per demand and also special safety awareness campaign be conducted near railway stations about travelling in RTC buses.

Dr Sambasiva Rao said RTC buses should be adequately parked in front of Railway station, Vishnu Nivasam, Srinivasam complex’s and the RTC officials shoud use wireless network to streamline services between Tirumala and Tirupati. Besides installation of information centres at Edukondalu Bus station and central bus station at Tirupati, the RTC also should develop resting places for devotees coming from Chittoor, Madanapalli and Bangalore.

Prominent officials who participated in the review meetings were Sri Nagashivudu, Regional Manager of RTC, Sri Chandrasekhar, Deputy chief Traffic Manager, Sri Balaji, GM Transport Sri Sesha Reddy, Sri Shivkumar Reddy, additional CV& SO, Sri Ravindra Reddy, VSO Tirumala and others participated.
