FINAL PHASE OF KALA NEERAJANAM CONTESTS
Tirupati, 19 Jul. 14: All the artists who were selected in the Kala Niranjanam contests will be given opportunity to perform at the Nada Niranjanam during Brahmotsavams, Srinivasa Kalyanams and also during the Sahasra deepalankarana Seva events at Tirumala.
This was disclosed by the Joint Executive Officer Sri Pola Bhaskar while participating as Chief Guest in the final phase of the Kala Nirajanam contests jointly organised by the TTD Hindu Dharma Prachara parishad, SVBC channel, SV Music and Dance College at the Mahati auditorium in Tirupati.
Sri Bhaskar said artists will be chosen at the field level and given an opportunity to perform not only at Tirumala, Tirupati temple festivals but also in the events of local temples all over the state. Contending that artists served their deities through devotion in form of performing artists said the artisans were integral part of the social and religious renaissance in the society. TTD will not only promote such devotional service but also telecast the recorded performances regularly on the SVBC channel.
On the inaugural day vocal, instrumentalists and dancers from Anantapur and Nellore presented their skills 15 each during morning and evening sessions. Prominent music experts Kumari Kanyakumari ,Sri Annavarpu Ramaswamy, Malladi Suribabu ,Smt Gangadevi, Sri Pudukottai Krishnamurthy, Sri Pudukottai Ramanathan, Sri Sabari Girish, Smt Vandana, Sri. Devendra Pillai, and Dr Sarma Umarani adjudicated as judges.
Among others who participated in the Kalaniranjanam valedictory event were SVv University Vice Chancellor E V Devanathan, Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad secretary Sri Raghunath, Deputy EO Shiva Reddy, OSD of Srinivasa Kalyanam Project Sri Shiva Reddy, SV Music College Principal Smt YVS Padmavathi ,SVBC Tamil Programs in charge Sri. Ramamurthy.
