GARDEN WING PLANTS ROSES AND CHAMPAKA PLANTSIN TIRUMALA
TIRUMALA, AUGUST 1: As a part of the beautification of Tirumala with the “One Lakh Floral Plantation Mission” taken up Garden Department of TTD, about 5000 Roses and Champaka plants were planted at Tirumala on Saturday.
According to the Garden Wing Deputy director Sri Srinivasulu, under the instructions of TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao, TTD Garden department has taken up the one Lakh plantation mission in a big way.
“We are carrying out the plantation programme in a phased manner. Today we have planted about 5000 Pinkish Red Rose plants and Manu Sampangi scientifically called Mangolia Champaka in the Garden located adjacent to GNC Toll Gate area. The rose plants were brought on donation from Bangaluru of Karnataka while Champaka from Salem of Tamilnadu. We will also plant at VQC gardens also. Our mission is to enhance the beauty of Tirumala with floral Plantation every where and give an attractive look with full blossoms before the beginning of annual Brahmotsavams which are scheduled for September second half”, he maintained.
