GARUDA VAHANA SEVA ENTHRALLS DENIZENS IN SRI GT
Tirupati, 8 June 2014: The temple city of Tirupati reverberated with the chanting of Govinda Nama on the fifth day of the annual brahmtosavams of Lord Sri Govinda Raja Swamy on Sunday.
As a part of the nine day event, the Lord was carried on the mighty Garuda Vahana on Sunday evening around the four mada streets of the temple town.
Garuda Vahana Seva is considered to be the most important and prominent one among the vahana sevas in Sri Vaishnavaite temples. With Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple being the oldest among the galaxy of Vaishnava temples, Garuda seva is being observed with religious pomp and gaiety. Tens of thousands of pilgrims converged to see the grandeur of Lord Govindaraja who happens to be the elder brother of Lord Venakteswara Swamy.

H.H.Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy of Tirumala Mutt, H.H.Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, Local Temples DyE.O Sri Sri Chandrasekhar Pillai, Exe Engineer Sri Jagadesswara Reddy, Garden Supdt Sri Srinivas and large number of devotees took part in this function.
