“GATHER OPINIONS FROM PILGRIMS TO ENHANCE TRANSPARENCY IN ONLINE BOOKING OF DARSHAN AND ACCOMMODATION”-TTD EO

Tirupati, 28 May 2015: The Executive Officer of TTD Dr D Sambasiva Rao has instructed the IT wing of Ttd to gather the opinions and suggestions from the pilgrims through mails enhance transparency in on-line booking of darshan and accommodation.

Reviewing with It department on the TTD on-line facilities in his chambers in TTD administrative building in TIrupati on Thursday, the EO said TTD has allotted 18,000 tickets of special entry darshan(Rs.300) available on its website for the sake of pilgrims across the world. “If we could able to garner suggestions and opinions through e-mails from the pilgrims, we can over come the drawbacks in the system if enhance and enhance transparency in the booking”, he maintained.

The EO also told the reception department officials to ensure measures to see that there will not be any delay while refunding caution deposit to pilgrims. He said the officials should maintain transparent methods while allocating rooms and lockers to pilgrims at Vishnunivasam, Srinivasam and Madhavam complexes in Tirupati. Other wise the allotment should take place through advance on-line booking mechanism. “Ensure 100% occupancy or convert the accommodation booking to on-line”, he directed.

Later the executive officer instructed the IT wing to develop separate app to download Ttd Panchangam on mobiles for the sake of the pilgrims. He said the on-line edition of Sapthagiri magazine should be be enabled in all six languages.

Tirupati Jeo Sri P Bhaskar, Additional FACAO Sri Balaji, Chief Engineer Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, IT wing head Sri Sesha Reddy, Reception wing Deputy EOs and others were also present.
