GEAR UP FOR GODAVARI PUSHKARAMS-TIRUMALA JEO

TIRUPATI, JUNE 10: Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju has instructed the HoDs of various departments to speed up their designated work for the prestigious religious event of the year, Pushkara Godavari Mahotsavams 2015, in Rajamundry in the next four weeks.

Reviewing with the senior officers of Annaprasadam, Health, Engineering, PR, HDPP, SVBC departments in SPRH guest house in Tirupati on Wednesday, the JEO said, as the pushkarams are fast approaching, the officials of the respective departments should commence their work and see that it will be completed ten days prior to the mega festival.

He has directed the engineering wing to take all care to see that there is no compromise in the construction of replica temple of Lord Venkateswara, erection of mythological illuminations etc. He also asked the electrical wing to keep shock proof mechanism in the case of inclement weather conditions.

The JEO also instructed the HDPP to come out with novel programmes that could attract masses in a big way. He also asked the SVBC to give a wide coverage of the mega event.

He has directed the PRO to prepare matter for flexis to be placed at Municipal grounds in Rajamundry where the replica temple will be coming up. He also asked to depute local srivari sevakulu at different points including municipal grounds-Subramanya Maidanam, Rajamundry Kalyanamandapam, Kovvuru Kalyanamandapam, in the streets encircling the replica shrine during procession etc.

The JEO has also instructed the Health and Vigilance departments to be keen on the arrangements as tens of thousands of pilgrims will be visiting the temple after taking holy bath in River Godavari from July 14 to July 25 during the mega pushkarams.

CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, Annaprasadam Dy EO Sri Venugopal, SE III Sri Sudhakar Rao, HDPP Secretary Sri P Ramakrishna, VGOs Sri Ravindra Reddy and Smt Vimalakumari and others were also present.
