GEAR UP FOR RIVER FEST “KRISHNA PUSHKARAMS”-TTD EO

Tirupati, 24 June 2016: With less than couple of months left for the mammoth religious sacred river festival-Krishna Pushkarams, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao instructed the officials of various departments to gear up for the mega fete.

Reviewing on the ongoing arrangements in his chambers in TTD administrative building in Tirupati on Friday, the EO said, the replica temple which is coming up on the river bed at Vijayawada should create a feel among the multitude of visiting pilgrims as if they are in Tirumala. “There should not be any compromise on the arrangements in security front or in any other aspect and we should enhance our services keeping in view of our past experience in Godavari Pushkarams last year”, he added.

He has instructed the HDPP wing to organize more attractive programs with eminent persons at Vijayawada, Amaravathi and also at Srikakulam in Krishna district for the 12 day fete commencing on August 12 and concluding on August 24. ” Apart from HDPP, the Annamacharya and Dasa Sahitya projects should also arrange special programs most effective manner”, he added.

Later the EO instructed to print small hand books depicting the gist of Subhapradham syllabi and distribute it among devotees along with a pocket size image of Lord Venakteswara to those who throng the temple.

He directed the vigilance wing to provide fool proof security cover and instructed all the departments including Annaprasasam, Health, publications, medical wings to utilize the services of local Srivari Sevakulu.

JEOs Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju and Sri P Bhaskar, Chief Engineer Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, Spl Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao, SE Sri Sudhakar Rao and other senior officers were also present in the review meeting.
