GODANAM HOLDS A SPECIAL PLACE IN HINDU DHARMA-TTD EO

TIRUMALA, MAY 22:   TTD EO Sri MG Gopal on Thurday donated a cow and a calf to the SV Gosamrakshana Trust run by TTD.

Addressing the occasion, TTD EO said, among the most important alms mentioned in Hindu Sanatana Dharma, Pranadana, Annadana and Godana hold a significant role. Cow has a significant place in Hindu Dharma and is often worshipped by us since it is believed that all the 3crore deties mentioned in our sacred texts reside in different parts in the body of a cow. So Cow is regarded as an embodiment of all our deities and offering prayers to cow is nothing but worshipping all our deities.

“In connection with my 31st wedding anniversary I have made this donation seeking the divine blessings of Lord Venakteswara”, he added.

Meanwhile TTD EO couple donated Shahiwal indegenous breed cow and calf to the TTD Gosamrakshana trust and handed over the cow and calf to SV Gosala Deputy Director Dr Harnath Reddy at Goshala in Tirumala.
