GODDESS GRACES ON “HAMSA VAHANAM”

Tiruchanur, 20 November 2014: On the second day evening the Goddess Padmavathi Devi-who is an embodiment of Celestial Beauty, graced Her pilgrims on the pleasant Hamsa Vahanam on Thursday.

Hamsa (Swan) stands for ‘Serenity and Purity’. Hamsa is believed to have a high intellectual capability and can distinguish milk and water when both liquids are mixed. This signifies that the swan has the capacity to differentiate good from evil and hence this state of human psychology is called “Parama Hamsa Tatva”.

To signify this quality, Goddess takes pleasure ride on Hamsa Vahanam along the four mada streets and blessede Her devotees.
