GODDESS PADMAVATHI RIDES ‘CHANDRAPRABHA VAHANAM’

Tiruchanoor, 2 December 2016: The presiding Deity of Goddess Padmavathi rode on Chandraprabha Vahanam to bless her followers. It is said that Chandra is a brother of Lakshmi as both emerged out of sea of Milk.

Saint Poet Tallapaka Annamacharya had mentioned in his works that even Gods rained flowers and tributes on the procession of Lakshni and Srinivasa on the Chandrprabha vahanam which glittered with the brightness of 16 Kalashas.

The temple legends say that thedarshan of procession of Padmavathi on such a colorful vahanam would beget all her blessings in full splendour.
