GOPUJA ON KANUMA IN 200 GOSHALAS ACROSS TELUGU STATES-TTD EO

Tirupati, 4 January 2016: TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao instructed the HDPP Secretary Sri Prayaga Ramakrishna to organize Gopuja on the festival of Kanuma across the two Telugu Speaking states.

During the weekly review meeting with senior officers in his chambers in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati, the EO said, the HDPP should organize wide spread dharmic activities which will bring back the past glory of the beauty of Sankranti Festival in a big way. “The activities should include propagation by Hari Dasas with a cow in each and every hamlet during Sankranti and Kanuma festivals”, he observed.

Later he instructed the DFO Sri Sivaram Prasad to come out with an action plan to develop 100 tanks present in and around Tirupati. The EO directed the Engineering Wing to develop lightening, complete repair works in the newly taken over temples by TTD including Vontimitta, Chandragiri, Upamaka etc. He also instructed the officials concerned to check the working of lifts in Vishnu Nivasam and Srinivasam Rest Houses in Tirupati.

Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, CVSO Sri Nagendra Kumar, All Projects Special officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao and others were also present.
