GRAND CELEBRATION OF SRIMAN SADHU SUBRAMANYA SHASTRY VARDHANTHI
Tirupati, 10 September 2016: The Vardhanti of Sri Sadhu Subrahmanya Shastry, the eminent epigraphist of TTD and Peshkar of Srivari Temple was observed solemnly at the SVETA this morning.
Rich tributes and garlanding of his Bronze statue were paid to Bronze statue at SVETA in recognition of his stellar contribution to TTD of translating the inscriptions at Srivari temple and heralding glory of Srinivasa to entire world.
Dr Talluri Anjaneyulu, director of SVETA said Sriman Sadhu Subrahmanya Shastry was popular for his scholarly work of translating 1167 copper plates of Srivari Temple. He also lauded him for publicising the special Srivari Vaibhavam and Tirumala Charitra amongst the huge collection of Annamayya sankirtana.
