GRANDEUR MARKS PARINAYOTSAVAMS ON SECOND DAY

TIRUMALA, APRIL 28: The day two of the three-day annual Padmavathi Parinayotsavams went off with religious pomp and gaiety in Tirumala on Tuesday.

Earlier, the processional deity of Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy was brought to Narayanagiri Gardens on Aswa Vahanam from vaibhavotsava Mandapam while the Goddesses on golden Tiruchi separately.

The ceremonious wedding events including receiving, exchange of Garlands, offering new vastrams, game of flower ball etc. took place and the deities were seated on the finely decked swing in the specially arranged wedding platform.

Later the vedic scholars rendered the hymns from four vedas followed by melam while the Nadaswaram artists rendered ragas in Bhupala, Vasanta, Ananda Bhairavi, Darbar, Madhyamavathi and Neelambari.

This was succeeded by the rendition of Annamaiah Kritis by the artists of Annamacharya Project. Before concluding the event, fire crackers were fired in the gardens. The dark sky turned bright with florets of crackers burnt during the occasion. Later the deities were taken back to the temple.

Meanwhile TTD has cancelled Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Vasanthotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara seva following this event.
