GRANDEUR MARKS PUSHKARA SARE SHOBHA YATHRA

TIRUMALA, JULY 8: Religious fervour and grandeur marked the Shobha Yatra of “Godavari Pushkara Sare” in Tirumala on Thursday.

TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao along with Tirumala Jeo Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju took part in this procession which started from Srivari temple to Vaibhavotsava Mandapam.

Later speaking to media persons, the EO said, Turmeric, vermilion, silk saree on behalf of Srivaru will be presented to River Godavari on the first day of Celestial Maha Pushkaram. “These sacred gift items will reach Rajamundry on July 11 in the Srivari Dharma Radham covering the local temples in Tiruchanoor, Srikalahasti, Nellore, Amaravathi, Anantavaram, Mangalagiri, Vijayawada, Dwaraka Tirumala. Shobha Yatra will also be observed for an hour in all these places also before reaching Rajamundry. These holy items will be presented to Mother Godavari on July 14, the day of commencement of Pushkarams”, he maintained.

The EO also said, TTD has made elaborate arrangements for the mega event. “Our replica temple shaped up very well. We are expecting a pilgrim crowd of about 50-70thousands per day to visit our temple after sacred Pushkara snanam”, he added.-
