GUNTUR PARADE GROUNDS ALL SET FOR MEGA RELIGIOUS FETE

April 8, 2015: The Spicy Land of Andhra Pradesh-Guntur, is all set for the mega spiritual programme of Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams which will be conducted by Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) from April 10-18 in a big way.

The spacious Police Parade Grounds is decked up in a colourful manner to host the religious event in the city which will commence with the spiritual discourse on the importance of the event by eminent scholar Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao on April 10 at 6pm. Sri Rao will elaborate on the importance of the Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams, the various rituals that are being performed to the replica of Lord Venkateswara every day during the nine days etc.

Meanwhile from April 11 onwards, every day starts with Suprabhatam — the first and foremost awakening seva at 6 am where the Lord Venkateswara is waken up in the morning by reciting 70 slokas penned by Partivadi Bhyankara Annan.

This will be followed by Thomala Seva wherein the Lord will be adorned with beautiful floral garlands by 6.30 am and Koluvu where the temple priests render the day’s duty chart before the Lord by 7.30 am. Later the priests praise the Lord chanting his 1,000 glorious names in Archana Seva that will take place between 7.30 am to 8.15 am. The first half of the programme concludes with Nivedana Sattumora between 8.15 am to 8.30 am.

Later the devotees will be allowed for Sarvadarshanam from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm.

In the evening, between 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm Sahasra Deepalankara Seva will be performed wherein the devotees witness the unjal seva of Lord and His consorts in the bright light of 1000 ghee lamps.

This will be followed by Veedhi Utsavam where the deities were taken out in a colourful procession between 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm, followed by night Kainkaryams and conclude with Ekanta Seva where the replica of Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy was put to rest.

Apart from the daily arjitha sevas which are enlisted above, from Monday onwards, the special arjitha sevas of the particular day will be observed viz. Visesha Pooja on Monday(April 13), Astadala Pada Padmaradhana on Tuesday(April 14), Sahasra Kalasabhishekam on Wednesday(April 15), Tiruppavada seva on Thursday(April 16), Abhishekam on Friday(April 17) were performed between 8.30 am to 10 am on the respective days.

TTD along with the support local governing authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the mega religious fete to thrill the denizens with spiritual ecstasy.

All these programmes will be live telecasted on TTD’s SriVenkateswara Bhakthi Channel.
