HEAVY WEEK END RUSH IN TIRUMALA

Tirumala, 27 September 2015: The hill town of Tirumala on Sunday witnessed heavy week end rush with all the compartments and queue lines brimming with pilgrim crowd.

The Executive Officer of Tirumala Dr D Sambasiva Rao personally monitored the queue lines in Tirumala and inspected the arrangements in Narayanagiri Gardens, VQC II, inside temple etc. He also verified the arrangements of Annaprasadam, water distribution in queue lines with concerned department heads.

Meanwhile the sudden surge in the crowd may be attributed to the consecutive holidays on Friday followed by week ends-Saturday and Sunday. As it is the second Saturday in view of Puraittassi month-often believed to be sacred by Tamil pilgrims, the pilgrim influx especially on footpath route increased by many folds.

Over 2800 Srivari Sevakulu have been deployed at all important points including Footpath, Sarva Darshan, RS.300 queue lines, Annaprasadam complex, inside compartments, temple, Laddu counters etc. to offer services to scores of pilgrims.

Temple Deputy EO Sri C Ramana, Health Officer Dr Sermista were also present.
