HILL TEMPLE OBSERVES DURMUKHI UGADI IN A COLOURFUL WAY

Tirumala, 8 April 2016: Inviting ‘Sri Durmukhi Ugadi Lakshmi’, in an environment filled with religious ecstasy, the Tirumala Tirupati Srivari Temple (TTD), observed Ugadi Asthanam on Friday in a colourful and ceremonious manner.

ASTHANAM AT BANGARU VAKILI:

The celebrations began with Swamivari arjitha Sevas being performed in Ekantham followed by Ekantha Thirumanjanam to the deities of Sridevi Bhudevi Sametha Sri Malayappa Swamy varu and Vishwaksena (Srivari Senadhipathi).

The processional deities were brought from sanctum sanctorum and were seated comfortably on Sarvabhupala VAHANAM, facing Garudalwar in BANGARU VAKILI. The chief commander of Lord Sri Visvaksenulavaru is also seated adjacent to deities and Asthanam is performs.

OFFERING NEW PATTU CLOTHES: Meanwhile new set of Pattu clothes (Silk clothes) were offered to the mula first and Utsavarulu by Jeeyangar swam is of Tirumala. Asthanam began after the decoration.

PANCHANGA SRAVANAM: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthana Asthana Siddhanthi read out the Panchangam (which is kept at the feet of LordVenkateshwara Swamy) and performed Panchanga Sravanam.

MANGO PANDALS SPECIAL ATTRACTION:

Matching the celestial occasion, the bunches of mangoes tied over the walls and grapes on roof tops at Dhwajasthambham stood as a special attraction during Telugu New Year’s Day. The walls were enriched by the beauty of mango leaves, sugar canes and types of orchids tied to them. The light illumination enhanced the beau of decoration.
