HOTELIERS AND VEGETABLE DONORS TOLD TO OFFER BETTER SERVICES FOR ANNUAL BRAHMOTSAVAMS

Tirumala, 22 August 2014: The Deputy EO Annaprasadam Sri Venugopal sought the Hoteliers and Vegetable Donors to offer much more better services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims during this year annual Brahmotsavams which are slated to take place from September 26 to October 4 in Tirumala.

Two separate reviewing meetings held with Hoteliers of Tirumala and Vegetable donors under the aegis of Annaprasadam Department of TTD.
Reviewing the with the Hoteliers first, the Annaprasadam Deputy EO complimented the Hoteliers for their support during the earlier brahmotsavams. “You have done a great job during last brahmotsavams and we foresee your support in much better way this year as we are anticipating more number of pilgrims this year, we expect much better services from you. You need to enhance your menu including idly, vada, pongal, upma and tea which you have served to the pilgrims during last year”, he added. The hoteliers also responded in a positive way and said they will enhance the quantity of servings to visiting pilgrims during brahmotsavams.

Meanwhile Health Officer Dr R Venkatramana suggested the hoteliers to see that the food servings be made in a clean, tidy and hygienic environment.

Later the Deputy EO Annaprasadam called upon the Vegetable Donors who hailed from different parts of AP, Karnataka and Tamilnadu to enhance the quantity, quality and variety of vegetables for the brahmotsavams. “During last year you have donated 25 varieties of 91tonnes of vegetables for brahmotsavams. This year we expect an additional ten tonnes of vegetables with different varieties so that we can prepare tasty and different Annaprasadam menu to the pilgrims. Reacting to this the donors have unanimous agreed to offer more number of vegetables with range of varieties.
