HOUR TO HOUR DELICACIES FOR PILGRIMS IN GALLERIES

Tirumala, 7 October 2016: Overwhelming arrangements have been made by TTD Annaprasadam wing on the Garuda Seva day on Friday as a part of annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala.

TTD has made elaborate arrangements of annaprasadams especially for the pilgrims who are waiting in galleries since morning for Garuda Seva. The hourly delicacies including bisibelabath, vermicelli upma, curd rice apart from milk and butter milk have been served to devotees on a large scale.Over three lakhs butter milk packets have been distributed to the pilgrims waiting in galleries.

Apart from the Annaprasadam arrangements, the health department also distributed over two Lakh butter milk sachets, have also distributed to devotees. Continuous watering to keep the floor wet from scorching temperature in four mada streets have also been done by the department to keep the pilgrims convenient.

Expressing immense satisfaction over the arrangements by TTD, Tamarachelvi, a pilgrim hailing from Madhurai of Tamilnadu said, we have reached this gallery in south mada street today morning. We had the privilege to watch the MOHINI Avataram in the morning. And now we are being served food at regular intervals. My baby is also given milk. To keep us engaged in divine chant, the Bhajana were arranged. All the arrangements were extremely good and I thank the management of TTD for the same”, she said with satisfaction.

Meanwhile TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao and Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju personally monitored the arrangements in the galleries, outside lines, compartments etc.regularly.
