Three Day Annual VASANTHOTSAVAM begins in Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram
Tirupati, 31 May 2010: The three-day annual ‘Vasanthotsavam’ begins at the Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram near Tirupati on monday evening. The event is meant to be a diversion to the celestial beings from the scorching sun in the peak summer month.
The priests gave a celestial bath to the deities of the Lord and His consorts at Kalyanotsava Mandapam inside the temple complex. The deities were later taken out on a procession on the four mada streets around the temple.
Smt. Jhansi Rani, DyE.O(Local Temple), Sri Ramamurthy Reddy, Temple Supdt and devotees took part.
